Sadly for reasons of inclement weather, the Minis Tournament due to be played Sunday 5th February 2012 has had to be postponed. We hope to run it towards the end of season or in April.

Yes that's right the infamous Muffins are touring again to their spiritual home Weymouth
With a budget to suit all including camping and hotels it is guaranteed to be a marvellous weekend of hockey and the chance to out your skills against the best hockey players this side of .........
Well ok that's rubbish its a hockey tour and will consist of drinking interspersed with a small amount of 7 a side hockey on grass and astroturf

16 Jan 2012 - Well done, Ladies!!
Well done to the Ladies Indoor squad who were promoted back to the Premier Division of the Maxifuel Super Sixes Championships.They were promoted in second place to Birmingham University, and held off Firebrands on goal difference, having scored 44 goals which is more than any other team in any of the four Divisions.
Congratulations also to Denise Marston-Smith on her appointment to Captain of England Indoor Squad for the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Championships in Slagelse, Denmark this coming weekend. A great honour for a great player.

There will be an all-in inter-club friendly on Tuesday 27th December starting at 11am and finishing around 1pm possibly (probably)
with a drink and the odd mince pie in the bar ...
All players welcome - any size/age/ability/sex - and this includes all members who have spent time watching and thought about playing but not yet got around to it - only stipulation, can you please let either Ian or Jacque know so we can have some idea of numbers

28 Nov 2011 - Well done Juniors
The Boys U16s and U14s have reached the next rounds of their respective Cups. The Girls U14s, who were a very young side got to experience what Cup Tournaments are all about and will take their experiences into next years competition
The U16s finished 2nd in their League on Sunday beating Edgbaston and Shrewsbury, 5-0 and 10-2 with Jay Reddy scoring 6 of the goals.
The U 14s also finished 2nd, like their older counterparts, winning three games and losing one.
Well done to you all.
15 Nov 2011 - London 2012 - Presentation
On Tuesday 11th October a group of England Hockey Directors visited Olton to give an open presentation
entitled 'London 2012 - Are We Ready ?'.
This was actually the fourth of eight similar presentations staged throughout October at venues across the country, where the EHB directors covered more than 1200 miles outlining what will be happening into 2012 and how clubs and players can get involved. The presentation attempted to outline: plans for a major participation programme before, during and after the Games, a series of public hockey experience events, Great Britain Olympic athlete ambassadorial visits,Hockey House supporter venues, ticketing and much, much more.

The Olton astro is shared on Monday evenings between the Mens Vets XI - The Ladies 3rd XI and a sublet to Kings Heath.
The table overleaf lists the usage as known at this time - and will be updated as changes are confirmed.
